At E&A Painting, we’ve taken our combined 17 years of painting experience to bring our clients astonishing home exterior finishes. Our residential exterior painting work throughout the Seattle area has won multiple awards from HomeAdvisor, and we hold an A rating on Angie’s List from dozens of happy customers.
We want your paint job to look remarkable and endure for many years, so we’ve composed a list of worksite checks we implement for each job. These stages require a bit of upfront work, but they safeguard the high-quality results we have built our reputation on.
Initial Inspection and Site Preparation
After an initial inspection, we hand- or power-wash each exterior surface of your house. This stage is crucial, as paint won’t look bold or clear if it’s applied to dirty, moldy, or flaky surfaces. This assures each coat of material takes effectively and that there are no blotches in the finished job.
Next, we lightly sand the cleaned areas to produce a suitable surface, which also corrects any irregularities from natural weather erosion. After, we prime each surface with an industry-grade primer. This phase ensures we can adequately apply each stroke of paint with confidence, knowing the material will yield superior adhesion.
It’s then time to paint. If you have a home with wood siding, we’ll first spray. We’ll then back-roll the surfaces to secure the initial coating. Back-rolling is the process of applying an additional layer of paint while eliminating the tiny air bubbles that spraying produces. By removing these air bubbles, your paint job won’t flake or crack under hot weather, which naturally causes material like wood to expand. If your house has man-made siding, such as HardiePlank, we’ll take a slightly different approach that ensures the same clean result.
Additional Worksite Components
Every team we deploy for residential exterior painting comes equipped with plastic sheeting, drop cloths, and additional protective materials, so you never have to worry about paint reaching unwanted places. When possible, we aim to work during drier weather, as this will improve drying speed and prevent dripping paint. However, in each instance, our proprietary painting methods deliver properly coated and properly bonded colors across all surfaces.
